Traffic Operations Practitioner Specialist ™ (TOPS)

 
Exam Format and Content

The exam is a 3 hour session.

The TOPS certification examination will include an assessment of knowledge in the areas of: 

Domain I: Traffic Operations Studies

  8. Freeway and grade-separated intersection design

Domain IV: Traffic Safety

  1. Interrelationship of drivers, non-motorized users, roadways and vehicle

Domain V: Incident Management

  1. Incident detection
